  • content appearing on the platform (articles, descriptions)
  • your professional profile type (agency, brand, journalist, media, etc.) if you choose to provide it at sign-up or in your account.

Phenward does not collect or store:

  • bank details,
  • identity documents,
  • KYC information.

That data is processed exclusively by the payment provider (e.g. Stripe).

2.3 Technical data

  • navigation data (functional cookies)

3. Purposes of processing

Data is used to:

  • provide the Phenward service,
  • manage user accounts,
  • secure transactions,
  • comply with legal obligations,
  • improving matching and introductions: professional qualification data (writer and publisher profile types) is used only internally by Phenward to improve catalogue relevance and produce aggregated statistics. This data is never shared with other users unless you explicitly choose to show it from your account.

No data is used for advertising purposes.

4. Legal basis

Processing is based on:

  • performance of the contract (Terms of Use),
  • legal obligations,
  • legitimate interests in security and proper operation of the service.

5. Sharing of data

Data may be shared with:

  • the payment provider (payments and checks),
  • a provider of transactional email services (e.g. Mailjet or equivalent configured in the application), for account- or service-related messages, under the contract and the GDPR,
  • competent authorities where required by law.

Data is not transferred outside the European Union except where strictly necessary for the service and governed by contract: in particular payments (provider such Stripe, independent processor) and, where applicable, transactional email via the configured provider, with GDPR safeguards.

No data is sold or transferred to third parties for their own purposes.

6. Hosting of data

Data processed by Phenward is hosted in France on infrastructure operated by Scaleway, a hosting provider established in France and subject to European law.

Use of Scaleway cloud (France, European law) supports confidentiality and security of data: processing located in France / the EU, geographic control of the hosting processor, and professional infrastructure for reliable operation - aligned with sovereign infrastructure and GDPR requirements.

Phenward favours hosting solutions that are sovereign and compliant with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

7. Retention

Data is retained:

  • for the lifetime of the account,
  • then archived according to legal obligations.

Payment-related data is retained by the payment provider according to its own obligations.

8. Users' rights

Under the GDPR, each user has the right to:

  • access,
  • rectification,
  • erasure,
  • object,
  • restriction.

Phenward implements appropriate technical and organisational measures.

Sensitive data (payment, identity) is processed by certified providers.
